Erasmus + Trans2Work

Representatives of College of Computer Science and Business Communications eMPIRICA have participated in a three-day kick-off meeting which is part of Erasmus + KA2 project titled Trans2Work (School-to-Work Transition for Higher education students with disabilities in SR, BiH, MNE) and which took place from October 26-28, 2015 at Metropolitan University in Belgrade.

The project consortium consists of 18 Partner Country institutions (Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia&Herzegovina) and 5 Programme Country institutions (Greece, Slovenia, Germany and Poland).

Apart from eMPIRICA College, other BiH project participants are Sarajevo University, East Sarajevo University, Banja Luka University, Procom Ltd, Profil MC Ltd and humanitarian organisation Partner.

Project Trans2Work was approved by the European Commission in the first Erasmus + KA2 call in Capacity Building category along with 139 others out of 515 applications and whose budget is € 120 million. The implementation of the project will last for three years.

The main aim of the project is quality enhancement and importance of transition from school to employment for special needs students. Other aims of the project are:

·       Enhance and prepare higher education services that will enable a better transition of speacial needs students from higher education institutions to employment following EU policies,

·         Link Higher Education to “disability-friendly” work environments,

·         Assimilate transition opportunities and skills with EU practices and policies and

·         Prepare employers on understanding the needs of employees with disabilities in order to offer new jobs.
